Eurogamer's Chris Tapsell has been playing Pokémon TCG Pocket every day, despite poor luck with the new Team Rocket card set. He is also slowly working through Star Wars: Zero Company on PC ahead of a promised review.

In a new Dungeons & Dragons campaign, Tapsell plays a pacifist Loxodon cleric trying to manage a party he describes as "absolutely feral." A separate contribution from freelancer Kaan Serin highlights significant time spent in the newly released sequel Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault on Xbox Series X.

Pokémon TCG Pocket Persistence

Chris Tapsell reports a continued daily habit with the mobile card game Pokémon TCG Pocket. His luck with the Team Rocket expansion has been poor, resulting in duplicate shiny cards he does not want while missing key cards like Team Rocket's Raticate ex. Despite this, he praises the set's playful tone and the quality of the card artwork, though he notes the game's meta feels stale.

Star Wars: Zero Company Review In Progress

A review for Star Wars: Zero Company on PC is still in the works, according to Tapsell. He states he is thoroughly enjoying the game but finding progress slow, forcing it onto the back burner amid other deadlines. He specifically shouts out an Anakin level and promises more sophisticated thoughts are coming soon.

Tabletop Turmoil in Dungeons & Dragons

As a newcomer to a regular Dungeons & Dragons group, Tapsell details his character and the campaign's slow progress. He plays a Loxodon-an elephant-person-with a wandering cleric background. His character aims for pacifism to balance a party he calls "absolutely feral." The group also includes a deeply suspicious Tiefling warlock whom the Dungeon Master has tasked Tapsell's character with monitoring. Most sessions, he says, involve friends trying to hit things they shouldn't, followed by him putting them to sleep to calm them down.

Moonlighter 2's Addictive Loop

Freelancer Kaan Serin provides a bonus pick, praising Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault on Xbox Series X. Serin says the sequel has hooked him far more than the original game, which involved dungeon crawling to find items to sell in a shop. He credits a constant stream of meaningful upgrades-new weapons, potion enhancements, shop decorations, and pets-for the addictive quality. Each upgrade can drastically change approach in either the procedural dungeon runs or shop management, creating a satisfying loop complemented by improved combat.

The source article concludes by linking to related news stories about developer furloughs at Star Wars: Zero Company, subsidies for Pokémon TCG Pocket developer DeNA, and the game's release date announcement.
