Magic: The Gathering Corn Maze Superdrop Revealed

Wizards of the Coast revealed the Corn Maze Superdrop for Magic: The Gathering. The collection features three Jim Henson's Labyrinth drop sets, a Kpop Demon Hunters set, and a Marvel Zombies set. This marks the first appearance of these franchises in the trading card game.

Wizards of the Coast said: "the Corn Maze Superdrop will be available starting at 9am PT / 12pm ET on October 12." The Superdrop is part of the ongoing MTG Secret Lair series. It blends high-profile intellectual property crossovers with reprints of existing cards, all with new thematic art and names.

Labyrinth Drop Details

The three Labyrinth-themed sets reimagine characters and scenes from the classic film. The first drop, 'Fear Me, Love Me,' focuses on Goblin kindred cards. It includes Muxus, Goblin Grandee posing as 'Jareth, Goblin King' and Goblin Rabblemaster as 'Goblin Cradle-Thieves.' This set also features a copy of Claim the Firstborn renamed 'The Kidnapping of Toby.'

The second Labyrinth set transforms legendary creatures into the movie's heroes. It includes Jodah, the Unifier as 'Sarah, Champion to the Lost' and Kogla, the Titan Ape as 'Ludo, Rock Caller.' A reversible card depicts Lu Xun, Scholar General as 'Sir Didymus, Rider of Ambrosius // Sir Didymus, Faithful Companion.'

The third set, 'Through the Labyrinth,' includes spells and locations. It contains Leveler, renamed 'The Cleaners,' which can be combined with The Beamtown Bullies or Thassa's Oracle in gameplay. Other cards include Thran Temporal Gateway as 'Doors of Indecision' and Rogue's Passage as 'Shaft of Hands.'

Additional Drops in Superdrop

Beyond the Labyrinth, the Superdrop includes other themed collections. The KPop Demon Hunters set is titled 'Secret Lair X KPop Demon Hunters: Hulk Smash.' It includes the card Freed From The Real. The set also contains Dawn's Truce.

The Marvel Zombies set is titled 'Secret Lair X Marvel: Zombies.' The Superdrop is rounded out by several art series. These include 'Manufactured Grounds,' 'Peace, Love & Treefolk,' and the 'Artist Series: Veronique Meignand.'
