Wreck Runners September Update Playtest for Xbox Insiders
Xbox Insiders can playtest the upcoming September Update for Wreck Runners early, accessing new content like Temples and a new enemy from September 4-9.

Xbox Insiders can now playtest the upcoming September Update for Wreck Runners ahead of its official release. This free preview is available to all Xbox Series X|S owners and does not require purchase of the base game.
Players can form a crew of up to four to explore an unreleased development build. The playtest offers an early look at several new features planned for the full September Update. These include an entirely new location type called Temples, a dangerous new underwater enemy, and a system for Runner color customization. The update also introduces Paranormal Progression, which creates new choices during a run, and Trustwell Lost Salvage, which rewards exploration beyond familiar areas. New hazards and interface improvements are also part of the test build.
Playtest Schedule and Access
The playtest runs from Friday, September 4 at 10:00 AM PT (17:00 UTC) to Wednesday, September 9 at 10:00 AM PT (17:00 UTC). To join, players must sign in on their Xbox Series X|S console and launch the Xbox Insider Hub app. From there, they navigate to Previews, select Wreck Runners, and choose Join. After registration, they will be directed to install the Wreck Runners Playtest from the Store.
Expanded Language Support and Feedback
The test build includes support for 15 additional languages. The developers, Disruptive Games, stated they are particularly interested in feedback on these localizations. They ask players to report anything that feels unclear, unnatural, untranslated, or difficult to read in the supported languages.
As this is an unreleased build, players may encounter bugs and content is subject to change. The team encourages the use of the "Report a problem" function on Xbox to submit feedback. Players should hold the home button on their controller, select Report a problem, choose the Games category and Wreck Runners Playtest subcategory, and fill out the form.
Disruptive Games invites players to follow their community channels to stay updated on the game's development and future tests. The September Update for Wreck Runners is still in development, with this playtest serving to gather important player feedback before the final expedition into the Triangle launches.
