Marvel's Wolverine Ending Leaks Ahead Of PS5 Launch

Major story spoilers for Insomniac Games' Marvel's Wolverine have leaked online in the final weeks before its PlayStation 5 launch. The leaked footage includes the game's final moments, boss fights, and unlockables, creating a spoiler minefield for fans.

Numerous clips from the completed game are circulating on social media platforms like X and TikTok. The leak includes the full final minutes and credits roll. It is unclear if the footage originates from retail copies breaking street date, promotional copies, or a digital theft.

A Rocky Road to Release

This latest leak adds to a troubled pre-launch period for the PlayStation 5 exclusive. The game's most thorough introduction came via a massive 2023 data breach by the ransomware group Rhysida. That leak kicked off a long cycle of online scrutiny and criticism, which has now culminated with what appears to be full copies of the game circulating.

Insomniac staff have reportedly been forced to repeatedly defend the game's design choices against online detractors. The campaign against Wolverine has been described as abnormally rough, intensified by controversial decisions from parent company Sony.

Gameplay and Story Details

Marvel's Wolverine is a level-based action game, a departure from Insomniac's open-world Spider-Man titles. Players control Logan as he fights through enemies like the augmented Reavers, robotic Sentinels, and the Hand to protect mutantkind.

The game will feature several familiar characters from X-Men lore. Logan will be joined by allies and foes such as Jean Grey, Sabretooth, Mystique, and Lady Deathstrike.

The Spoiler Onslaught

The spread of ending footage has ignited a wave of speculative plot spoilers across the internet. Unlike the 2023 ransomware leak or the recent Grand Theft Auto VI 'Cyberleek' incident, this new breach does not currently appear to be part of a blackmail scheme. Instead, it simply floods social media with the game's concluding scenes.

For eager players, the final stretch before release has now become a frustrating exercise in avoiding spoilers. The leak provides Wolverine with one last, lumbering battle before it even officially arrives.
